Lower Kingswood! Where on earth is that?

We rehearse in Kingswood Village Club in Lower Kingswood which is situated on the A217 about a mile north of Junction 8 of the M25. Where is it exactly? The address is, Kingswood Village Club, Brighton Road, Tadworth, KT20 6SZ. Brighton Road is part of the A217.

Travelling south on the A217 from the Burgh Heath area you come to a BIG roundabout or circulatory system (junction with B2032 and B2220), take the 2nd exit (straight on in fact) to the A217. At the next roundabout take 2nd exit (straight on in fact) to the A217. Continue on the A217 and you will see the club on your right but you will have to go past it through Lower Kingswood to the next roundabout and turn completely round to come back on the A217 northwards. You will pass on your left a petrol station, some shops, and the roads Josephine Avenue and The Mount. The club is a very short distance after that on the left. If you go past it go north to the roundabout, turn round and try again.

Travelling north from the M25, Junction 8, is easier to describe. Join the A217 northbound. At the first roundabout continue on to the A217. You will pass on your left a petrol station, some shops and the roads Josephine Avenue and The Mount. The club is just after that on the left. If you miss it don't panic, there is a roundabout further on where you can turn around and try again.

Parking is easy. The club has its own car park.

You may not think so, after reading all this, but it's actually quite easy to get to by car.

The 420 and 460 buses go to Lower Kingswood on Sundays but the service is very sparse. There are no railway stations nearby. National Express run a coach service (A3) between London Victoria to Gatwick, picking up and setting down at Vauxhall, Stockwell, Streatham, Mitcham, Sutton, Belmont and Lower Kingswood.
